As promised chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao appointed his son and IT & Panchayat Raj minister K T Ramarao as minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD).
This decision was taken in the cabinet meeting this afternoon.

The promise to this extent was made by the chief minister on January 30 while addressing a TRS rally from Parade grounds in Secunderabad. Predicting clear victory to the party, KCR said, as reward to his untiring campaign in GHMC elections and his winning strategy, KTR would be made minister for MA and UD. Till today the department was being looked after by the chief minister himself.

With this KCR has become the only cabinet minister holding three important and major portfolios after the chief minister.
