Turkey today expressed interest to partner with Telangana in many areas such as construction, housing and others areas of mutual interest. The country is keen on sending a mixed delegation of consisting representatives from construction union, exporters’ union etc to explore the possible areas cooperation. This was conveyed to state industries minister Jupalli Krishna Rao by Arda Ulutas new Consul General of Turkish Consulate in Hyderabad.
Ulutas, who took charge in November 2015, today called on the Telangana minister. He also informed that Turkey was examining the feasibility of operating direct flights to Hyderabad and added that Turkey was interested in making Hyderabad an important destination for his country as a connecting point in South India. Now there are no direct flights between Ankara and Hyderabad. All flights are routed through Delhi or Mumbai.
He said many of Turkish small and Medium size enterprises were interested to do business with their counterparts in India and Hyderabad in particular.
He extended a warm welcome to the T-officials to visit the consulate. Ulutas thanked the Minister for meeting him at such a short notice and said they would like to build a strong relationship with Telangana.
The Minister briefed the Consul General on the new Industrial policy TS-iPASS which was launched recently. The minister presented a copy of the new industrial policy to the Consul General.
