Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to release a grant of Rs 30,571 crore for Telangana development over period of next four years.

The CM called on the PM today and presented a memorandum on the immediate demands from the state of Andhra Pradesh. Rao is New Delhi to consult the PM and other union ministers to get more funds allocated to the state in the forth coming budget.

According to sources, TS chief minister urged the Prime Minister to release of Rs 10,000 crore the ambitious Mission Baghiratha project, the government to take up the improve irrigation and drinking water availability the state. In the 40-minute long meeting KCR broached many important issue and sough immediate implementation. Stating that the centre needs more funds to take up the drought relief works, the CM demanded the enhanced relief to the state of Telangana. Centre in January announced a drought relief of Rs 791 crore to Telangana. But CM wants the amount raised to Rs Rs 3064 crore. Similarly, CM requested for release of funds to the propose AIIMS in Telangana in the budget 2016-17.
CM urged the Prime Minister to take up the Kaleswaram project as national project it was going solve the water problem in more than half Telangana state. Among other things the CM requested for Telangana are:

* Taking up the Tribal university proposed at Warangal as the central university
* Relaxing the norms of FRBM to facilitate market borrowings for state projects.
* Bifurcation of the Hyderabad High Court into Telangana and Andhra Pradesh High Court
* Extension of deadline for the ITIR
* Implementation of all provisions AP Reorganization Act-2014 related to Telangana

The CM is expected to meet power minister Piyush Goyal, home minister Rajnath Singh, Finance minister Arun Jaitley in the afternoon.
