Filmmaker Guna Sekhar has pinned a lot of hopes on his upcoming film Rudhramadevi. Featuring Anushka in the titular role, Rudhramadevi is the first ever historic 3D stereoscopic film on the Indian screen. This film also stars an ensemble cast in the form of Rana, Allu Arjun, Prakash Raj, Krishnam Raju and few others.
Speaking to a popular media outlet, Guna Sekhar said he was fascinated by the valour of Rudhramadevi when he was in school and admitted that the story of the reigning queen inspired him a lot. I decided to make a film on her story in the initial days of my filmmaking career, added the director. He concluded saying that he is confident of the film’s success at the box office.
Slated for a September 4th release, the pending 3D works will be wrapped up in a couple of weeks and the movie will get ready for a grand release worldwide. This movie will also release in few other regional languages in South. Maestro Illayaraja composed tunes for this film.
