Andhra Pradesh government today appointed a high level committee to take forward the MoU it signed with the Microsoft for collaboration in the area of e-Governance. IT adviser to government J Satyanarayana is the chairman of the committee while G S Phani Kumar, special secretary IT department is member-convener.
Apart from a representative each from Agriculture and medical and health departments, R.P Sisodia, Secretary, Education,S. Soloman Arokiaraj, CEO, SERP are nominees of the government. Anil Bhansali, Neeraj Gill, Prashant Gupta and Preeti Das will represent Microsoft in the committee.
The state department of IT signed an MoU with Microsoft on December 28, 2015 for the effective implementation of the eGoverance
The areas considered for further action, basing on the MoU are :
*E-Pragati – Microsoft to provide the necessary architecture and technical support for the EPragati framework. Microsoft to engage on some of the core applications – like Land Hub and Datalytics for Education etc. , and to provide the necessary support, technical guidance and inputs on the public and private data centre and lend expertise in implementing the hybrid cloud as part of IT infrastructure for E-Pragati.
*The Education ML project needs to be taken further across all classes and districts. This needs to be deployed and run as part of the normal school administration process.
*Microsoft to engage in other departments where there is possibility of huge impact with Analytics and Machine learning. Agriculture, Health and SERP.
*Microsoft to provide White Fi services for building out connectivity in a given area within the state.
