Ramasubbareddy former minister and TDP leader from Jammalamadu is said to have reluctantly agreed to the admission of his arch rival C Adinarayana Reddy. He has met party boss Chandrababu Naidu at Vijayawada along with his mother and scores of followers . They are said to have opposed YSRC MLA Adinarayana Reddy’s joining the TDP, with whom he has blood stained rivalry. This rivalry was responsible for his jail sentence. Number of his followers were victims of the rivalry between the two families. In spite of this enmity, Ramasubbareddy had to put up with the decision taken by party president and chief minister Chandrababu Naidu as he can’t switch over to the other side immediately.
Talking to media he admitted that it was a painful decision for him and his followers to support the party’s decision.
” But, we have highest regard for Chandrababu Naidu. When party leader said said we had to agree for the admission of Adinarayana Reddy in the larger interest of the party, we had no option but to swallow the bitter pill,” he said.
” We suffered in the 10 year-hell under the Congress regime. When we are happy that our party has come to power, people like Adinarayana Reddy are sneaking into the party making our joy a short lived affair,”he remarked.
Though the language lacked the conviction, he said he would continue to remain in the party.
His mother also echoed same sentiments. But she put it more succinctly by stating that ” only time can decide what should happen.”
When asked if there would be any harmony and cooperation between the groups, he did not give direct reply and simply said ,” let’s see what would happen in future.”
Similar backlash against the Naidu’s decision is expected in Kurnool district as well from Shilpa brothers. Though Naidu with his authorities might have silenced the opposition by assuring full protection to their interests, Shilpa brothers will, in no time, find it difficult to work together, as the integration of two rival groups at village is highly impracticable. They may leave the party some time later if not immediately, is talk among his followers. Shilpa Mohan Reddy said they put across their version to Naidu without any hesitation.” Though changing loyalties do not arise at any cost, we told our party president the difficulties their followers face if Bhuma Nagireddy is allowed into the party. But, We do hope that the CM would not any decision without thinking long and hard and we expect Chandrabu Naidu will find a solution to the issue we place before him,” he added.
For deputy CM KE Krishna Murthy also, it is a bitter pill to swallow. He may not express this because he can’t resist Naidu and survive in the cabinet. He has to remain calm because of political compulsions.
