With one more party MLA switching sides to the TDP, the Opposition YSR Congress has intensified its campaign to force Chandrababu Naidu to ask the defector MLAs resign from Assembly and seek fresh mandate.
The party on Wednesday demanded chief minister Naidu not to maintain double standards with regard to the defections- the anti-defection standard for Telangana and encouraging defections in Andhra pradesh.
‘YS Jagan Mohan Reddy rightly asked the MLAs who wanted to join YSRCP to first quit their party and seek a fresh mandate while Chandrababu Naidu has no such scruples. He speaks against defections in Telangana while encouraging the floor crossing in his home state,” party leaders Botsa Satyanarayana, Kodali Nani, Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, Jogi Ramesh, Perni Nani and others remarked.
Rubbishing the TDP’s claim that chief minister Naidu’s development of was attracting the YSRCP MLAs towards TDP, they said it was not the interest in the development of constituency or the state, but the personal interests have driven both sides, defector and chief minister Naidu, to immoral politics of defection.
” All the MLAs should quit the Party or Speaker should disqualify them and ask them to seek a fresh mandate. YSRCP has taken Sobhba Nagireddy into party only after she quit PRP. Earlier YS Rajasekhar Reddy had asked Danam Nagender to resign from TDP to join Congress,” The YSRC leaders said.
‘Chandrababu Naidu is flush with cash from the kickbacks of Pattiseema and real estate deals in capital region and he was exposed with his involvement in the cash for vote scam. He has in to the habit of luring legislators and manipulating the mandate as he had usurped power from NTR by backstabbing,” they said.
