There is something wildly satisfying about a dark horse victory. Perhaps it stems out of basic human psychology that always cheers a david’s victory over a goliath. A dark horse victory is quite rare in Tollywood, where big films and established favourites usually strike gold at the Box Office.
But yesterday, a film called ‘Terror’ came in and scored good reviews quite unexpectedly. In fact, the odds were so heavily against the film that it did not even manage a single multiplex screening on its opening day. A virtually unknown director and an out of form actor like Srikanth did not help the film’s chances.
But the age old proverb about content being king came true once again. With positive word of mouth spreading for the film, interest began peaking for the movie and a few multiplex shows may be added over the weekend to cater to the rising interest.
The film has been directed by Satish Kasetty, who won a National Award in 2006 for his film ‘Hope’.
