Ravi Teja has not signed a new film for quite some time now. His last releases were ‘Kick 2’ and ‘Bengal Tiger’ and while a film with Dil Raju was supposed to start rolling, it was shelved.
Ravi Teja is a star hero with a decent market. So what is the reason for this lull? The reasons are many. For one, he has become way too lean. His ‘glamour’ quotient has come down significantly. Another major issue is his remuneration.
Ravi Teja is reportedly demanding between 9 – 10 Crores to sign a film and this price is simply not feasible in the current market scenario. A 20 – 25 Crore budget is a safe bet for Ravi Teja right now and if he demands 10 crores, this leaves just 10 – 15 crores for other artist remunerations and production costs.
This is causing prospective producers to back off. Lets hope Ravi Teja realises the need to cut back on remuneration a bit until he gets back into top form.
