When she was unceremoniously dumped from Pawan Kalyan’s film Sardaar Gabbar Singh and replaced by Kajal Aggarwal almost immediately, not many spoke about what was actually through Anisha Ambrose. Nearly eight months after being signed for the role and not being able to sign any other film in that period, the actress received flak from the powerstar’s fans too for not being “star material enough” to act alongside him.
And so, in a recent interview, the actress revealed that the whole episode was a learning experience for her. “I was selected after an audition and eight months later it didn’t work out. I’m sure if I had done the film, I would have faced a lot of challenges but I’m glad with the choice they finally made. There was a lot of pressure on me in terms of my looks, acting skills and how I would handle the media. I tried my best to handle everything but they made their decision,” she shared.
But the actress took it in a positive note and said, “I learnt a lot so I am glad.”
As for Pawan Kalyan, he never really spoke to her after all this happened. In fact, it was his friend and producer Sharrath Marar who broke the news to her.
Ironically, her new film Run releases just a few days before the film which was supposed to be her big break.
