Vamshi Paidipalli’s emotional bilingual drama, Oopiri, which stars Akkineni Nagarjuna and Karthi in the lead, has set the cash registers ringing after its grand release last Friday. The beautiful narration and the emotional performances by the principal cast impressed the audience and critics alike and set the tone for a massive box office haul.
The film is registering phenomenal numbers in Overseas. After a strong start with limited premiers, the film gained good strength on Saturday and notched up mind boggling figures. According to the official trade reports, the film has punched out $635K by end of saturday and is enroute to the prestigious 1 Million mark. Trade analysts predict that the film’s dream run will continue in the coming days as there are no major releases in the next couple of weeks.
Prasad V Potluri produced the film on PVP Cinema banner and Gopi Sundar composed the soundtrack. Tamannaah, Anushka, Adivi Sesh and Shreya played prominent roles in the film.
