Winning a National Award is a matter of prestige and it is the ultimate form of critical acclaim that can be won in the film industry in India.
9 out of 10 directors will be thrilled if their film wins a National Award in any category. But even after winning the Best Film award, S. S. Rajamouli seems to be a disappointed man. Atleast that is what is being heard from sources close to the movie.
Apparently, Rajamouli expected a National Award in the best director category also, along with best film and best VFX categories. Because this award went to Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Rajamouli was a little disappointed. That is the reason why he refused to meet the media for exclusive bytes and interviews.
He also did not take any break from the shooting of Baahubali, to celebrate the success.
Rajamouli is a very talented director and perhaps, he should not let these things affect him. He still has a long way to go and surely, he will be winning tons of high profile awards in the years to come.
