Would YSRCP MLA Jyothula Nehru, who is joining TDP on April 11, dare embarrass his former boss by revealing many interesting things about Jagan’s Personality? It appears so.
Today he told media that he would tell more about the compulsions that forced him to bid good bye to Jagan on the day when he would join the party in the presence of TDP president and chief minister Chandrababu Naidu. He confirmed the date ie April 11, as the ‘muhurtam’ for his joining. As the deputy leader of the party, Nehru might have been privy to many important and controversial decisions Jaganmohan Reddy took in the past 22 months. Today, he talked of the freedom in the party, which according to him, was the principal reason for his desertion. Talking about freedom is ok, what if the talk would extend beyond freedom, and touches the raw nerve and embarrass Jagan. but
Desertions are not new to YSRC and Jaganmohan Reddy, and they are as old as the party itself. But there are two kinds of people among the deserters: those who quit the party and remained silent without talking anything about Jagan and his style of functioning, and the other, who quit the party virulently. All first generation deserters such as Konda Surekha, Sabbam Hari, Dadi Veerabhadra Rao etc were quit violently, and the second generation deserters are all MLAs and chose to remain silent. For example, Badvel MLA, even Bhuma Nagireddy, and C Adinarayana Redd preferred silence to mudslinging.
It is not known which way Nehru prefers to go? He already took strong objection to the charge that allurements from Naidu was the reason for his decision to join the Telugu Desama.
“How much money did Jagan pay for me to join YSR Congress? I am not the one who could be bought in the market place? He should first reveal how much money did I receive from him when I chose to join YSRCP ?” Nehru asked. He was clear that he was not hurt by denial of PAC chairman post. ” But, the way I was eliminated from the race was painful,” he said.
This type of hiccups are harmless. Would Nehru confine himself to the minor issues or dig deep into the dark side of YSRCP?
