Sardaar Gabbar Singh registered stunning Box Office numbers on Day 1, largely aided by extensive hires and highly priced benefit shows. The film had good pre-release buzz and the makers cashed in on it.
Now, after all the euphoria and propaganda have died down, the reality is slowly emerging. The film has received a negative word of mouth since the morning show itself and that impact is now being felt on the revenues.
In Kukatpally, on the first Saturday after the release, tickets were freely available for first and second shows. This is a very worrying sign for the movie and if the trend continues, the film will witness massive drops on Monday and Tuesday.
The film was sold for sky high prices and if the revenues don’t remain steady for atleast two weeks, massive losses will be incurred by all parties. Let us wait and see what the final result will be.
