Matinee idol Megastar Chiranjeevi will soon don the greasepaint for his comeback film which is tentatively titled Kathilantodu. Ace filmmaker VV Vinayak will call shots for this much awaited film which is the official remake of Tamil smash hit,Kaththi. The pre production work is currently going on and reports reveal that Vinayak is giving finishing touches to the script. Reportedly, the original story is tweaked to suit the Telugu flavour.
Ever since the project was confirmed, there was a guessing game in the media about the film’s leading lady. According to the latest update, star heroine Anushka is in talks to play the female lead in this film. It is learnt that Vinayak is keen on roping in Anushka, after Nayanatara was out of the race due to remuneration issues. Anushka, who kept herself away from glamorous roles for quite sometime now, is likely to make the cut for this film.
Anushka sizzled in an item song in Chiranjeevi’s Stalin which released a few years ago. For now, she is the frontrunner to play Chiru’s love interest in Kathilantodu. We have to wait for a few more days for official confirmation. Devi Sri Prasad will score the tunes for this prestigious film.
