For a long time now, writer Vakkantham Vamsi has wanted to collaborate with NTR. He has gone on record to say several times that his first directed will only be with NTR.

After Nannaku Prematho, a discussion had been initiated about the same and it was decided that as soon as NTR completes his film with Koratala Siva, this film will go on floors. Now that the release of Janatha Garage is slated for August 12th, it is learnt that NTR will then work on his look for the next film and then will begin shooting for it in September. Pre-production work for the film will begin in June.
