In an ideal world, beauty should play no role in how a person is judged. But we live in a very imperfect world that not only judges people by looks, but also penalises celebrities for even minor weight gain.

Now actress Nithya Menen is expressing this situation. Nithya has always been a slightly chubby actress but the current situation is alarming her producers. She has become very plump and at the recent audio launch of 24, she did not look like heroine material at all.

The actress is playing a key role in several films and if she continues with this look, it will be very difficult for producers and directors to justify her inclusion as a heroine.

Nithya on her part is very non chalant about the issue as she believes that performance speaks for an actor. While we agree with Nithya about this, perhaps it would do her no harm to get back a little into shape.
