As reported in T360, distributors of Sardaar Gabbar Singh are planning to meet Pawan Kalyan to see if he can bail them out. Now we hear that, there is yet another casualty of Sardaar Gababar Singh. As it happens with all the biggies, MAA TV, Gemini, Zee Telugu give fancy offers for satellite rights (ETV is a well known exception). In a rat race to secure the rights, MAA TV, paid a hefty 12.5 crores to acquire the satellite rights. This is only next to magnum opus ‘Bahubali’.
Now that the verdict is out on Sardaar Gabbar Singh, MAA is worried that there would be no audience for this movie. As per our sources, MAA paid an advance to secure the rights and is now in discussion with Sarat Maraar to see if he can give any discounts on the satellite rights. Sarat Maraar is not budging so far and he communicated to MAA that he will adjust the price for Pawan’s next movie. Incidentally, Sarat Maraar was a long time CEO of MAA. So apart from distributors, we have one more addition to list of people who might have to take a haircut on the acquired asset.
