Chief minister Chandrababu Naidu announced that Amarvati capital would have a five-day week in the interest of employees who are shifting to new capital leaving their families back at Hyderabad.
Addressing a meeting after inaugurating the temporary government office complex at Velagapudi,Naidu dished out many sops to placate the employess who are dithering to take a decision on relocating themselves to new capital city.
He said all the employees who prefer to work at Amaravati would get 30 per cent DA on the lines of what they are getting in metropolitan Hyderabad.” There may be some problems now in Amaravati. One day in future, you would feel proud that you had worked in this beautiful city,” he said. He promised a 5000-house colony for the employees of Amaravati.
Getting emotional about the sacrifices the farmers of capital region had made for construction of the capital, Naidu said he was touching the feet of these farmers. ” I know you have given the land to the capital construction reposing faith in me. I salute you for this,” he said.
He also advised the farmers not to fall prey to the designs for some nefarious forces . ” Approaching courts and involving in the legal battles would ultimately harm your interest. Resist these force. Save the money you are getting now wisely and avoid splurging ,” he advised the farmers.
Naidu called upon the farmers in the capital region to actively participate in the development of the region. ” Capital is going to a hub for many commercial activities. Invest your money in these activities and get benefited,” the CM advised.
Immediately after the inaguration Naidu signed on many files related to the implementation of his poll promises. One of the files was related to the sanctioning of Rs 2400 crore to the members of self-help groups and another is meant for the release of Rs 32,00 crore to the farmers loan waiver.
