Buoyed by the response Jagan got from the union ministers and the panic reaction from the leaders like deputy chief minister K E Krishnamunrthy and MLC Y B Rajendraprasad, YSR Congress intensified its drum-beating on corruption.
Many YSRC MLAs, who are present at the meeting Jaganmohan Reddy had with union ministers Rajanath Singh, Arun Jaitley and Dharmendra Pradhan, were wondering at their curiosity in eliciting information about Naidu from the opposition leader.
The general perception the YSRC MLAs have got from the meetings is that BJP won’t have any problem if Jagan carries forward his campaign against Naidu either on streets or in courts.
Jagan’s reports, both oral and written, appears to have confirmed their worst fears that Andhra Pradesh chief minister had a plan to make BJP a scapegoat for all his failure to deliver at the state particularly with respect to Amaravati construction. They crosschecked the information they got from their party sources with Jagan if Naidu was diverting money and rebranding the central schemes as his own, and not using Modi’s picture anywhere.
An MLA, who returned from New Delhi shared his experiences with telugu.360 com and said the meetings brought about convergence of ideas. ” What Jagan said was almost what the BJP had in mind and Jagan said what BJP ministers are exactly wanting to know,” he said.
The difference between the meetings with CPM leader Yechuri and CPI leader Raj and the meetings with BJP ministers is that, ” Left leaders were straight. They opposed Naidu’s engineering of defections. They are ready to join chorus with YSRCP. The BJP ministers looked playing politics. They behaved as if they got what they had been searching for about Naidu. They gave an impression that Naidu was not reliable, though they did not say this in so many words,” the MLA said.
According to the MLA, though Jagan could not meet Prime Minister Modi, he was definitely was in high spirits after winding up the trip. Meanwhile deputy CM KE Krishnamurthy also found fault with central minister for having given appointment to a person who is an accused in many economic offenses.
Naidu is Brand Ambassador of Corruption : Roja
Suspended YSRC MLA RK Roja described Chandrababu Naidu as the brand ambassador of corruption. She said he had been a blot on Brand Andhra Pradesh. She announced that Jagan’s ‘save democracy’ to Delhi was a stupendous success and had become an eyesore to TDP and Chandrababu Naidu.
“Unable to bear the success of our Delhi trip, TDP leaders have gone berserk and criticising the BJP ministers for giving appointment to Jagan, ” he said
She suggested to CM Naidu that he should volunteer for a CBI probe into the corruption charges and come out clean.
