Allu Arjun has come a long way from ‘Gangotri’. He has improved by leaps and bounds both in terms of looks as well as performance. He also built up a reputation for being an approachable and friendly guy in the Film Industry. This made him a popular young hero for many producers and directors.
But Allu Arjun is no longer that boy next door. If you observe him carefully, a lot has changed over the years. From the way in which he behaves at public functions to the way in which his PR team is trying to build up his image, you can observe that Allu Arjun is trying to become more than just a ‘Stylish Star’. In fact we at Telugu 360 have written about this trend in the past as well.
But with the recent ‘Cheppanu Brother’ issue, the mask seems to be finally off. “Allu Arjun is not the guy I knew in 2010. He has changed a lot. Had he been like this all these years, success would never have come for him. Three big commercial hits have changed him”, says a noted producer on condition of anonymity.
Many in the film industry have faulted Allu Arjun for reacting the way he did at the public event in Vijayawada. He could have just remained quiet if he did not like saying “Powerstar”. To directors who approach Allu Arjun with scripts, there are new instructions. Larger than life scenes and some image pumping mass dialogues are now mandatory.
There are many instances where heroes who got drunk with success came crashing down in the film industry. Let us hope Allu Arjun does not fall into that category.
