The Suriya – Samantha starrer 24, which released last Friday, is doing phenomenal business at the box office. The film which opened in solid number of screens in Overseas has set the cash registers ringing in its first weekend. The film ( Both Telugu and Tamil versions) has notched up nearly $ 900 K by Sunday and is inching towards the million dollar club.
The glowing word of mouth and the positive web reviews have helped the film big-time in registering solid numbers in all areas of its release. In both the Telugu States, the collections are super strong over the weekend. Vikram Kumar’s striking narration of a time travel concept and Suriya’s commendable performance are the selling points for the film. Despite few shortcomings, the film managed a decent talk with the audience.
Suriya himself produced the film on 2D Entertainment banner in association with Studio Green. Nitya Menon played a crucial role and AR Rahman composed the tunes.
