Ever since the project Bhagmathi was announced, people have been talking about how it is a period drama based on the life story of Nizam ruler Quli Qutb Shah’s wife Bhagmathi.
However, the actress herself, in a statement to Times of India, rubbished it. “I know people have been saying that. But that’s not true at all. Instead, the film will be a modern day thriller,” she said.
To be directed by Ashok of Pilla Zamindar fame, this movie will be a completely female oriented story with Anushka playing the central character
