According to the latest buzz in filmnagar, the producers council may move towards imposing new publicity caps and the reason for this move is most surprising. Apparently, it is the publicity blitzkrieg of Sarrainodu that is forcing the council to take a call in the matter.
The producer of Sarrainodu, Allu Aravind, spent a whopping amount of money on the film on TV, Radio, Print as well as websites. The team bought every available ad slot reserved for films and even used some commercial slots at full price.
This has caused problems for other films that released after ‘Sarrainodu’ and the council may now impose an upper limit to the number of ad slots that can be purchased on TV for a film, so as to ensure that other films get a chance as well.
This proposal is still in a discussion stage and it may or may not go through as an official resolution.
