PVP Cinema, the production house behind some of the biggest Telugu projects in recent times, is now under fire for the lackluster performance of ‘Brahmotsavam’. The movie is expected to lose a lot of money at the Box Office and while PVP is safe because of the pre-release business, distributors are expected to lost vast sums.
Now, we have learnt that PVP is planning to return up to 50% of the losses borne by distributors. The production is under no obligation to do so according to the terms of the agreements, but it is doing it out of goodwill. Sources say that PVP Cinema has already informed this to distributors.
This news is unofficial as of now and no official communication has been received so far. If PVP goes ahead and compensates distributors purely out of goodwill, it will indeed be a good gesture of kindness from the big budget producer.
