Actor Nani starrer Gentleman, directed by Mohan Krishna Indraganti, which released last Friday, is collecting decent figures all over. The glowing word of mouth and the rave web reviews have come in handy for this suspense thriller and transformed into solid box office numbers on the first three days. Nani and Nivedha Thomas effortlessly shone in their roles and Mani Sharma’s thumping background score is an added advantage for the film.
According to the latest trade update, the film has grossed $ 420K by Saturday and is inching towards the half million mark. Trade circles predict that the film will easily gross something around 120K – 150k on Sunday. The film need to collect $ 800K for break even and it is likely to reach the mark by the end of second week. Nani’s previous film, KVPG grossed $ 300K in the second week and Gentleman is expected to perform a similar show at the box office.
Despite no publicity from its producers, the film is doing very well thanks to the perfect planning for premiers and promotions by its overseas distributor Gaatri Media Group.
