Hyderabad MP and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen president Asaduddin Owaisi dubbed ISIS, the terror outfit, as Ibless (the Arabic word means Satan or Devil) a day after five Hyderabad-based ISIS activists were nabbed by the National Investigation Agency.
Known for making a hue and cry over the arrest of Muslim youngsters in the city, the foreign educated Muslim leader, Asaduddin, who reportedly faced threats from ISIS in January, 2016, tweeted the following:
“Isis are party of Iblees, they are bloody cowards, killers ,murderers of innocent people have no relation with Islaam”
The Barrister also referred to an article (dated May 21, 2016 and titled: Islamic State threatens attacks in India) in which ISIS announced that “it is planning to avenge the deaths of Muslims killed in riots in Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s home state of Gujarat and elsewhere.”
Referring to a video monitered by the US intelligence group SITE, the article claimed that, Islamic State mocked Muslims living in harmony with Hindus who worship cows, trees and the sun, and urged them to travel to IS-held territories in the “Caliphate”. “We will come back, with the sword, to free you, to avenge Babri mosque, Gujarat, Kashmir,” the fighter says.
Meanwhile, the Nampally court remanded the five accused Mohd Ibrahim Yazdani, his brother Mohd Ilias Yazdani, Habib Mohd, Mohd Irfan alias Yaqub Irfan, Abdul Bin Ahmed Almoudi alias Fahad to judicial custody for 14 days.
In the wake of the NIA’s major breakthrough in Hyderabad against the terror plot of the ISIS, the Hyderabad MP’s open remarks against the outfit assumed significance.
