After a huge gap, she signed a Telugu movie and she will be seen romancing Balakrishna in Gautamiputra Satakarni which is said to be a periodic drama. Krish is directing the movie which is said to be a periodic drama and it marks the 100th film of Balakrishna.

The actress has been roped in to play a crucial role for a Tamil movie titled Anbanavan Asaradhavan which is said to be a comedy feast. Simbu is the lead actor in the movie and Shriya Saran will be seen as his mother in the film which left many in shock. Earlier it was Trisha who has been approached for the role, but she rejected the film on spot. Adhik Ravichandran is the director and S Micheal Rayappan is the producer of the movie.
