AMARAVATI SWISS CHALLENGE PROPOSAL

The Andhra Pradesh CRDA on Monday invited international competitive bidding from prospective bidders for selection of master developer of start-up area of capital city Amaravati. To that extent, AP-CRDA has carried out advertisements in all major national newspapers and also invitations been sent to various countries.

Andhra Pradesh government has already cleared the proposals submitted by a singapore consortium , Ascendas-Singbridge-Sembcorp Development, under swiss challenge method. Under ‘Swiss Challenge’ method, other prospective developers would be asked to present counter bids.If the latter is lower,the first bidder will be asked to submit another bid and so on. Finally, the one with lower bid gets this prestigious project.

The singapore consortium has estimated the cost of developing infrastructure, which includes a business district, commercial hubs, business parks and residential zones, at Rs 3,137 crore. There are many other interesting things to know about Amaravati construction in the proposal
