In a shocking revelation, the CID has confirmed that the EAMCET 2 paper was leaked. The police have gathered primary evidence which reveal that the paper had leaked from Delhi Printing press. They have identified Rajagopal Reddy, who runs Usha educational consultancy based in Bangalore, as the main culprit behind this scam. Incidentally, he was also accused in the PG medical entrance exam leakage in 2012. The CID has also arrested four other brokers related to the scam. They are also in hunt for some more suspects.
The CID also revealed that the brokers had a deal with 30 students. Each student was agreed to pay 50-60lakhs where some amount will be paid in the beginning and the remaining will be paid after the seat allotment. It is estimated that close to 50 crore money have been exchanged in this scam. Reports also state that, 48 hours prior to the exam, the brokers took these students to Mumbai, Bangalore and other places in flight and have given them training by providing the question paper and the answers. Though there isn’t any confirmation, but reports have been floating around that the Eamcet 2 will be held again. Meanwhile, few students have requested Minister Lakshma Reddy not to cancel the exam. In this regard, the government will most likely take a decision based on the final report from the CID.
