Hyderabad: After a very long time, Powerstar and Jana Sena founder Pawan Kalyan on Saturday hogged headlines when he expressed his opinion on special status issue for Andhra Pradesh. He responded to a question posed by a reporter when he happened to meet former Karnataka Chief Minister Kumaraswamy in Hyderabad. Stating that the special status issue is a sensitive one, Pawan Kalyan opined that the issue cannot be resolved by waging war. The powerstar said that he would respond on the special status issue at an appropriate time.
Stating that the public representatives belonging to AP are fighting their bid to convince the Centre to get special status tag for the State, Pawan Kalyan said that he, however, has the intention to make a serious effort to fight for the demand.
Though he has a good understanding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Pawan Kalyan said that he can’t make things materialise what the MPs had failed in doing. Recalling how the previous Congress government and the BJP government promised the State of granting special status, Pawan said his nature would not permit him to enter into dispute with the political parties that he would wait and see how things take shape.
