Hyderabad: The Telangana government on Monday released a draft-preliminary notification for the existing nine districts to pave way for 27 new districts in the State. However, the government exempted Hyderabad district from the process for various reason.
The State government released a Government Order (GO) 194 to this effect in order frame guidelines for carving out new districts. The draft notification is released separately for nine districts.
The government invited objections withing one months from the release of notification. Objections can be registered with the respective District Collectorates in the State or Chief Commissioner for Land Administration (CCLA) office in Hyderabad. The information with regard to GOs will be soon updated in the government website.
On Saturday, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao convened an all-party meeting to elicit views of the political parties on creation of new districts.
