Hyderabad: Protesting against the Telangana government’s move to sign crucial pacts with Maharshtra to construct barrages on Godavari, the Telangana Congress leaders observed Tuesday as black day by giving a protest call to its cadre to organise demonstrations at all District Collectorates in the State.
Telangana Congress leaders along with party workers staged a dharna in front of Ranga Reddy District Collectorate. Later, the leaders submitted a memorandum to the District Collector.
Alleging that the agreements between both the governments are not in accordance with the reality, the Congress leaders alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is trying to betray people of Telangana by changing the design of irrigation projects and barrages.
The leaders alleged that KCR is just trying to stage drama and grab attention of the people by declaring the pact as historic. When the present agreements were already discussed by the previous government, the Congress questioned the rationality behind changing designs of the projects.
