Hyderabad: Following the Telangana government’s appeal to file objections after issuing draft preliminary notification on creation of new districts in the State, on an average one objection is being raised in every one minute at the District Collectorates across the State. After the government uploading the draft notification in its website, about 50,000 people visited the website and lodged their objections in it.
Total of 1,604 queries have been so far registered in the website. Total of 988 objections were raised for the proposed 27 districts, 388 complaints for new revenue divisions, 228 for new mandals. It is learnt that objections were mostly received on creation of Jagityal, Yadadri, Hanamkonda and Wanaparthy districts. As the administration will be coming into functioning by Dasara, the Revenue officials are gearing up to allocate staff to the new districts. However, the government staff will be given option while reallocating the staff among the 27 new districts.
Meanwhile, the officials are scouting for suitable buildings to house the administration office in some district, while they seemed to have found buildings in other new districts. The District Collectors will be scanning the files and documents before shifting them to new districts.
