Tollywood directors have a habit of penning scripts considering our actors in mind. There are very few directors who are concept driven and lock the actors after they wrap up the script work. One such director is Sekhar Kammula who created a rave with his films. Some of his films Anand, Happy Days, Godavari and Leader impressed the multiplex audience big time. His recent outings ended up as disappointments as the director came out with repeated concepts and narration. After a huge gap, the director narrated a script to Superstar Mahesh which impressed the actor.
However due to undisclosed reasons, the project did not materialize and Sekhar even approached Tarak for the lead role. Tarak who has been struggling in debacles showed no interest on the film which finally reached Varuntej. The movie has been titled Fidaa and is currently under shoot. The film is said to be a love story and Sai Pallavi is the female lead. The interesting point here is that Sekhar Kammula revealed to Varuntej that the story has been first narrated to Mahesh Babu. Top producer Dil Raju is bankrolling Fida which will hit the screens during December this year.
