Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday turned emotional saying that some leaders had warned him of thrashing him with footwear.
“Kondaru nannu cheppu tho kodtha ani annaru (some leaders said they will thrash me with footwear), such comments were common when I intended good deeds to the people of the State,” he said. Though he was pained by such comments, Chandrababu Naidu said he kept these words within himself.
He recalled his 38 years of association with the legislative council hall in Hyderabad. “I hope this might be the last session in the hall and earlier in the day I went to recall those memories and took some photographs with friends,” the Chief Minister said.
Claiming that he had never compromised with political leaders or parties, Naidu said if there is someone with whom he had compromised is people. Recalling the incident when TDP legislator Paritala Ravi was eliminated by his rivals, he said though the incident pained him he stayed strong.
“I was in my office when I was told that Paritala Ravi was killed. I was disturbed by the news, even when I had attended the Assembly session I had controlled my emotion,” he said.
