Hyderabad: A businessman was held for allegedly filming women employees in bathroom by Central Crime Station (CCS) police in Hyderabad. It is learnt that the accused identified as Maroju Shiva Kumar allegedly filmed women and blackmailed them on several occasions. The police recovered video footages in CDs, DVDs and disks at his residence. The CCS police are investigating whether the accused had sexually harassed the women working in his company. Details are being secured from the women in the case.
The police also slapped charges under cheating against Shiva Kumar for allegedly duping 40 investors in the name of business opportunity. Shiva Kumar, who owned Eider Motors near Narsingi on the outskirts of Hyderabad, duped investors to the tune of more than Rs 10 crore.
Besides making promises to the investors, Shiva Kumar lured them by sending women employees to them in striking crucial deals in the business. Some of the investors had also paid him money in advance to become vehicle dealers.
Shiva Kumar was arrested following complaint given by three individuals. The accused is learnt to have confessed before the police that he cheated the investors.
