While there is severe suspense over Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s health condition, the State police booked several cases against those who made comments over Jayalalitha’s health on internet. There was severe uproar from netizens when her wikipedia page declared her dead on Saturday, i.e on September 30 following brief illness in a hospital in Chennai.
The police slapped a cyber crime case against a woman called Tamilacchi, who is residing in France, for making facebook post on Jayalalithaa’s health.
When questioned why Jayalalitha was admitted in hospital a week ago, the hospital officials clarified that there was no danger to the Chief Minister and she was admitted to hospital only to take some rest.
On September 22, she was abruptly rushed to hospital after taking part in various development programmes like Metro rail and inauguration of buses. Subsequently, there were rumours and doubts were expressed over the health of Jaya on internet.
Meanwhile, sources of Jaya’s coterie said that she was tired like ever before after being elected for the second term in her political career. Apart from these, she is reported to have been burdened by uninterrupted 35-day long Assembly session, new resolutions being taken and new projects.
It is learnt that she has been functioning directly from the hospital bed by keeping close eye on the Supreme Court’s rulings on the Cauvery river water dispute. For the past one week, government press notes are being released from Apollo hospital in Chennai.
