After the astronomical success of the first part, the sequel for the Baahubali franchise has been generating a lot of hysteria among the trade circles. The worldwide theatrical business for the S S Rajamouli’s war spectacle is going to be quite astonishing. We have already reported that the N.America rights of Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam versions have been snapped for a staggering price by Raja Ratnam of K Entertainment.
Now, it is exclusively learnt that there is a change in hands of these rights. Through a source in the known – Baahubali producer is not confident enough about the distribution house’s ability to put up for a grand release that can match the gargantuan expectations of the overseas audience
As we reported earlier, K Entertainment has bought Tamil theatrical rights ( Satellite not included) and the overseas rights of Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam versions was closed for 87 Crores. Now Arka media is buying back North America (US and Canada) for Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. Multiple overseas distributors are in fray to acquire the rights.
