As actor Ram’s latest film Hyper hit the screens this weekend, everyone has been talking about the unique father and son relationship he shares with his onscreen father Sathyaraj aka Narayana Murthy. In a short conversation he talks about his onscreen father Sathayaraj and his real life father Murali Mohan Pothineni. Read on…
How was it working with Sathyaraj? And how did you manage to bond with him?
It was delightful. This is the second time I am working with him but we share a different equation in Hyper and so the way we worked was also different. It’s always an honour to work with talented people like him because there’s so much of learning that happens. If I am able to emote well, it’s because he’s so good and he pushes me to be much better than I am. I guess that’s the main reason our chemistry worked out well.
You share a very interesting onscreen bond with your father. Is that reflective of your real life too?
No! I am not possessive of my father like Suri is. But that doesn’t mean there’s no love. I really love him very much and so does he but we aren’t as expressive like in the film.
You father Murali Mohan Pothineni is known to be at the cinema halls almost everyday during the first few days of your film’s release…
Haha. Yes. And let me tell you he can never ever give me a bad review about anything. I guess the father in him never finds a flaw! He says everything I do is amazing or sometimes tells me he got goosebumps!
