TV9 encounter with Posani, Encounter with Posani

Muralikrishna interviewing Krishnamurali! Sounds good.
Film writer, director and actor Posani Krishnamurali’s ‘Encounter’ by the seasoned journalist Muralikrishna in TV-9 on Sunday night was a damp squib, to say the least.
Posani’s live feud with stalwart politician V.Hanumantha Rao in TV-5 is the obvious cause for Muralikrishna to invite Posani for the latest session but the questions he posed to him are too ordinary and insipid. Muralikrishna didn’t ask what he is expected to ask but listened to what Posani wanted to say.
The only intelligent question by the anchor is: what kind of leader AP needs at this juncture? The man of high voltage motions, Posani, played safe by saying that the state needs ‘an efficient as well as honest’ leader to become no-1. When Muralikrishna grilled further, Posani tried his best to avoiding a director answer. “This is the toughest question I faced in my life. I don’t like to answer this question,” he said.
Muralikrishna further sought to know as to why Posani, known for his frank and fearless opinions, is scared of answering this question, then Posani said that both the leaders (Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu and Opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy) lacked both the qualities. He preferred to stay away from making any comment on Pawan Kalyan.
It may be recalled that Posani had praised both the leaders at different points of time before joining Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam Party. Posani sounded that he was disillusioned by the political system and politicians.
Muralikrishna then asked about ‘why he is raising his hand now-a-days’ in a oblique reference to the on-camera fight he head with VH. Claiming that he has self-respect and he couldn’t take some words used by VH, Posani briefly explained his stand on it. Posani used some filthy language but TV 9 edited it. However, Muralikrishna failed to ask an interesting question on what really happened after Posani and VH traded words and menacingly ran towards each other during the live show in TV-5. May be the anchor avoided the question because the incident had taken place in the rival channel.
One more disgusting thing in the ‘encounter’ is Muralikrishna allowing Posani to show Boyapati Sreenu (another director) in very poor light. Posani ridiculed and imitated Boyapati in an unprofessional way to explain that how he had ‘given life’ to financially poor Boyapati and how he had belittled him (posani) when his first film as director was a flop.
After watching Posani in the encounter, one can definitely feel how this man produced stories for 100 films!
