There seems to be no respite for AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu naidu in the sensational case of cash-for-vote. Former Congress MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar has urged the Hyderabad High Court to label Naidu as one of the accused in the case. He also sought the court to invoke its extraordinary jurisdiction.
Arun Kumar was arguing as an intervener in the criminal petition filed by the Chief Minister challenging the directions of the ACB court to further investigate the case, reported English daily – Deccan Chronicle.
Stating that he sought permission of the court to argue the case as a responsible citizen, he said that interest of both AP and Telangana people are involved in the case.
Why the Telangana ACB has not grilled Naidu in the case despite his name being surfaced in the chargesheet, Arun Kumar questioned. He further pointed out as to why the Telangana ACB is dilly-dallying the probe without ascertaining the origin of the money which was used to bribe nominated MLA Elvis Stephension.
Stating that the whole country is looking at the case, Arun Kumar questioned the ACB why it did not even compare the audio tapes in the case with Naidu’s voice sample. The judge adjourned the case for Thursday for arguments of council for Naidu.
