While most of the current generation stars take a minimum of 6 months to complete a film, senior star Victory Venkatesh and his team remained exemplary by wrapping up their film in less than two months. Venkatesh’s upcoming film Guru, which is an official remake of Hindi – Tamil bilingual sports drama Irudhi Suttru, went on floors in the third week of September. Today, November 28th, the team has held the traditional pumpkin festival to mark the end of shoot.
The entire shooting lasted for just over 50 days. The unit has shot the film nonstop to pull off the speculator feat. The post production activities are currently underway and the teaser will be unveiled on December 13th, on the eve of Venky’s birthday. The makers are in plans to release the film on January 26th. The cast and crew who worked for the original version have been retained for the Telugu version.
Guru is the story of a boxing coach who has a scuffle with sports authorities due to the inner politics and then decides to train a lady boxer to achieve his dream. Sudha Kongara Prasad is the director and Y Not Studios is producing the film.
