Actress Anushka Shetty carved out a niche for herself with female centric films. She attained stardom on par with the star heroes with big hits like Arundhati and Rudhramadevi. Continuing to try her hand at lady oriented flicks, the talented actress has signed a film titled Bhagmati. Directed by Pilla Zamindhar fame Ashok, Bhagmati is being produced by UV Creations banner.
As per the latest reports in Hans India, it is learnt that Anushka is essaying the role of an IAS officer in this film. This is the first time Anushka is going to be seen in such a character. Reportedly, she did a lot of homework to get into the skin of the character. The project was finalized three years back, but didn’t take off till this June due to various reasons. The regular shooting is now progressing at a brisk pace and the makers are planning an early 2017 release.
Janatha Garage fame villain Unni Mukunda is playing a crucial role in the film. SS Thaman is scoring the tunes.
