Some leaders, that too women leaders cares no restrictions on their movements. They simply ignores security constrains. Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) first Mayor Banda Karthika Reddy also one among those who hardly bothers about procedural restrictions.
Her entry into Parliament house yesterday has created a commotion among security personnel and embarrassment to Congress leaders. Her eagerness to meet Rahul Gandhi and follow him makes breach of security restrictions.
She went to Parliament with a visitor pass reportedly at the recommendation of a Congress MP. After the adjournment of the Lok Sabha for the day, she rushed to Rahul Gandhi and greeted him with a garland. Normally in Parliament house garlanding looks uneasy for leaders.
Rahul Gandhi surprised over this gesture and asked her “Who are you?” Then she walked along with him to the press conference hall (Room No 53) and was found standing behind him by the side of TMC leader Mukul Roy and others. That was the press briefing arranged by 16 opposition parties, where only MPs were present.
As she entered the no-go zone in the first floor where SPG protectee Rahul Gandhi was scheduled to address a press conference, the security personnel taken aback at this and rushed to question her. On being told that she had a visitor’s pass, they read out the guidelines to her and turned her away.
However, an internal probe has been ordered into the matter as visitor’s pass strictly prohibits movement of the pass holder outside the designated area. Security officers are worried how she was allowed to that extent.
When she was a Mayor also, she used to embarrass fellow-Congress MLA Jayasudha by violating several protocol procedures.
