YSR Congress Party chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy has his own compulsion in pointing his figure towards the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. So even on demonetization, he mostly concentrating his attacks on Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu only. He hardly questions Prime Minister. Other party leaders in the state are also following him in this regard.
Of course, TDP leaders pointing out that it was due to fear of CBI and ED cases against him with regard to disproportionate assets, the leader of opposition is `soft’ towards the center. So, always finds fault with the state government, though its role is nominal in such issues.
But for `fire brand’ MLA R K Roja have no such `compulsions’. She is not hesitating to attack both Modi and Chandrababu at a time. Once she started to attack opponents she will not spare words. Earlier as TDP leader also, she was so aggressive against the then chief minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy.
During her visit to Narasapuram of West Godavari district last evening, she accused that Modi resorted to demonetization move for the sake of publicity. Stating that both the state and central governments are being pushing poor into streets, she reiterated that Chandrababu Naidu has clear indications about this move in advance. Is disposing his family business Heritage shares just before this move is not testifying his misdeeds, she asked.
Actress Roja recalled that Chandrababu Naidu had earlier written letters to the prime minister seeking removal of big notes like Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 from circulation. She questioned him why he is now silent with introduction of Rs 2,000 notes and not demanding for it’s withdraw.
Ridiculing government’s cashless/digital transactions move, she wondered how it is possible without 100 per cent literacy in the country. Besides, she asked how it is possible without expanding banking network and creating awareness among people. About 80 per cent population are not familiar with banking transactions, she added. Strongly objecting restrictions on gold, she asked whether Modi’s mother can show receipts for gold ornaments she is possessing.
