YSR Congress Party chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy while contemplating to formulate an action plan to take up the people’s cause about demonetisation, he is planning to meeting Governor along with his party MPs, MLAs, MLCs and senior leaders to apprise him of the situation as a constructive opposition party.
Stating that the move has put common man under serious duress and if the situation continues even after this month end, party’s official spokesperson Tammineni Sitaram said today that they have sought the appointment of Governor. While accepting the Prime Minister’s assurance that the situation would improve after December 30, he said they will be taking up the people’s cause after the due date if the situation does not improve.
Stating that demonetisation has put people to great suffering with health, farming and other core sectors getting badly affected, Sitaram deplored that such a major decision was taken unilaterally without taking Opposition parties and Parliament into confidence but looks like it was announced in a hurry.
While the secrecy is to take the cash hoarders by surprise, he wondered that the government has no account of who or how many people are there holding unaccounted money.
While the government has announce that only Rs 2.5 lakh would be allowed to be drawn for marriages, he said they have seen BJP leaders performing the marriage of their kin on a grand scale. Many people have postponed the marriages due to demonetization.
The data of how much cash has come to Andhra Pradesh and how was it distributed should be made public as the ruling TDP members were never seen for want of cash, he added.
