The BJP leaders are surprisingly maintaining silence over the tirade against the party initiated by his 2014 ally and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan, making his Tweeter as a forum. For the last five days, the cine hero has been blasting the BJP with questions on various issues.
Pawan Kalyan had attacked the ruling BJP at the Centre on a host of issues like cow slaughter, suicide of Dalit scholar Rohit Vemula, missing of JNU student Najeeb Ahmed, Supreme Court verdict on National Anthem in cinema halls and demonetization.
But, till now BJP leaders seems to be restraining themselves from reacting to his severe accusations. However, Visakhapatnam MP and BJP Andhra Pradesh unit chief K Haribabu has responded politely, stating that the issues Pawan Kalyan raised does not have anything to do with BJP or the Central government.
On the issue of playing national anthem in theatres, he said it was a Supreme Court rule and BJP has nothing to do with it. Though he tried to found fault with the film star, he didn’t tried to question his motives.
Many BJP leaders are suspecting some left-lenient people were behind him, the language of Pawan Kalyan’s questions makes him `irrelevant’ to present day political scenario. But they seems to have decided to maintain calm without responding aggressively to his questions. However, Haribabu accused the Opposition parties of creating confusion among the masses in the wake of demonetization.
Meanwhile, CPI-AP Secretary K Ramakrishan questioned the BJP’s silence over Pawan Kalyan’s questions. “Is BJP dead in AP”, he wondered.
