Anantapur MP J C Diwakara Reddy, known for his critical political satires, today almost censured the style of functioning of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. His hard-hitting comments creating sensation among TDP circles.
At a time, the TDP supreme was pre-occupied with meeting party MPs, MLAs, MLCs and constituency incharges, to bridge gaps in the party structure, he made sensational comments with the media, questioning Chandrababu’s political management capabilities.
The former minister didn’t hesitated to say that unless Chandrababu Naidu changes his style it would be difficult for him to survive politically.
First, he accused that Naidu administration is mostly depending on officials, ignoring people’s representatives. “I advised him several times that would makes us away from people and asked him to change his style of administration, but no use”, he said.
He further said that Chief Minister should realise that he return to power, for which several factors contributed, but not only because of him. “He is not a Mahatma Gandhi for people to vote him always”, he added.
Secondly, he said many leaders in the party working hard are discontented for getting not recognition by the party leadership. This leading disappointment among many leaders, he felt.
When asked about whether he is feeling getting injustice, he replied otherwise. “When leaders like Payyavula Keshav, who has been working hard in the party since a long are not getting prominence. How a person like me, a recent entrant expects something high”, he asked.
In this regard, he also given explanation on his joining TDP just before 2014 polls. Indicating that he may not be taken for granted by TDP leadership, he said “in a particular political environment as I felt a leader like Jaganmohan Reddy should not become Chief Minister of the state, I have joined TDP”.
