Gautamiputra Satakarni Overseas, GPSK Overseas
If it was Megastar Chiranjeevi to kick-start the Sankranthi Sambaralu at the box office, it is Balakrishna’s turn to make the festival more memorable for the audience with the historical magnum opus Gauthamiputra Satakarni. The film, which released a day after Khaidi No 150, took a grand opening at the box office, giving the career best opening day figures for Balakrishna. The film opened to packed houses in both the Telugu states and garnered good talk from the early morning shows.
In Overseas, Gauthamiputra Satakarni started its box office campaign in style by registering solid collections on its premiers day. The film notched up $ 367K from 117 locations, emerging as the all time top 8th grosser in overseas and the career highest in Balakrishna’s career. With good word of mouth, the film is going to have a decent haul at the box office.
Filmmaker Krish Jagarlamudi’s brave attempt to showcase the greatness of Gauthamiputra Satakarni, one of India’s greatest warriors who fought against foreign invasion, is winning huge appreciation from audience and critics alike. The captivating dialogues and the fine performances by the entire cast are the selling points for this historical drama.
Chirantan Bhatt composed the soundtrack and First Frame Entertainment banner is the production unit behind this film.
